3x Res CH (milking)
1x GCH (milking | official leg)
Chimera had many doe kids, and quads twice in a row. Her line continues through her daughter Gamora. I can count on high birth numbers in this line, as her daughters have produced quads not infrequently as well, all good birth weights and survival. No matter what, when you do the books at the end of the year, these does have made you money with their progeny. They are higher energy and can be aggressive with herd mates, in contrast to Elph's line.
That beautiful brisket extension comes through generations later, you can pick out Chi line kids pretty easily when you see that here.
Our other foundation doe, Elph left daughter Gambit behind and went to a nice family in almost-South Dakota.
Gambit and her progeny have very easy going temperaments, do not bully others, yet can hold their own in the herd. They have excellent milk production and are always good mothers, though smaller numbers of kids - twins most often. They are often the favorites with their sweet personalities. We have also learned, through milk testing, that their butterfat is higher than Chi's line.
If you see a doe here who is sweet, steady, not bothering anyone but loving a head scratch (even letting out a groan), that is going to be from Elph's line :)
